PRESIDENTS TROPHY

Maurie Askenazy Memorial President's Trophy

Awarded in memory of Maurie Askenazy who passed away in 2011. Maurie was instrumental in setting up the junior club back in 1974. He worked tirelessly for the junior football club over many years and this award is in recognition of his work to make the junior club what it is today. This award is presented by the Club President to a significant contributor to the club over the course of the season.

Eli Peters & Stephen Rose Memorial Award

Awarded in memory of two fine young club members who were tragically killed in a car accident. Eli and Stephen were proud members of our club and this trophy is awarded to a male player that through their achievement embodies the spirit of the Ajax Junior Football Club.

Dale Measy Memorial Trophy

Dedicated to the memory of Dale who played with the club from 1993 to 2000, and tragically passed away in early 2001. He was truely a courageous footballer and fittingly this trophy is awarded to the club's Most Courageous player.

Eddie Malinek Memorial Trophy

Dedicated to the memory of Eddie Malinek who tragically passed away in 2005. Eddie played over 100 games as a junior and later came back as an assistant coach for U9-U13 teams. This award recognises Outstanding Commitment to the club.

George Halphen Memorial Award

 

This award is named after George Halphen who was a dedicated junior coach at our club in the early 1980s. During his coaching tenure, George inspired his players by invoking real life comparisons with courage, commitment, focus and dedication and left a lasting impression on them. This award is given to an outstanding junior coach.
